Evening School with Mahila Kalyan Udyog

One of our partners, Mahila Kalyan Udyog, is running a Free Evening School at the Srijan premises where they offer classes to students from financially challenged backgrounds. Running since 2010, the initiative also provides yearly sponsorships to ten girl students of Srijan. They have also donated 5 computers to the school which are used by the Srijan School and Evening Session.

Mahila Kalyan Udyog is an organization based in Dehradun, India dedicated to women and child welfare. Their organization runs projects to give gainful employment to women and thereby make them independent. iIt was founded by Mrs. Madhuri Mathur and Mrs. Uma Mehra plays a highly supportive role as well. Both of them were Founder Teachers at Welhams School, Dehradun. Mrs. Mathur has also been a consultant to prime educational institutes and is the founding Principal of Hopetown School, Dehradun as well.
