Doon Superstar is our flagship talent hunt property that was launched in 2015 with the dream to encourage talent amongst the youth & giving them the opportunity to showcase their singing and dancing skills. It is organized by Yogashakti Wellness Studio, a subsidiary of Yogashakti Educational & Charitable Trust.

We had over 200 entries in our first season, and 70 participants were shortlisted for the semi-finals. Our participants fell under three categories: Junior (4-7 years), Sub-junior (8-15 years), and Senior (16 and above). The dancers came from a host of renowned dance academies across Delhi and Dehradun such as De-Grace, Flying Feather, Michael Shadow, Nrityagan, and Hill Dance Academy. For the singers, we have kids from institutions like National Institute for the Visually Handicapped (NIVH), in order to go beyond the mainstream and give their kids equal access to the stage.

We conducted our semi finals on the 16th of August, and the finals took place on the 13th of September at Survey of India Auditorium, Dehradun. For these finals, we were joined by the honorary Chief Minister, Shri. Harish Rawat and the honorary District Magistrate, Shri. Ravi Nath Raman as our chief guests. In addition, there was a special singing performance by Sonia Anand, of Sa Re Ga Ma fame. We also received the invaluable support of prestigious organisations like the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Hindustan paper, State Bank of India (SBI) and Panchvati Builders.

By giving them such exciting opportunities to learn and perform, we believe we can propel the all-rounded development of today’s young generation.” said Suman Bhatia, Managing Trustee.
